Learn
interesting new vocabulary. English is the main language in both countries,
but the slang is very different. After spending time with Kiwis, you may
find yourself talking about lollies and rubbish instead of candy and trash.
Experience a culture. In school, you learn about cultures around the world.
Wouldn't it be better to actually experience the culture?
Build
lifelong friendships. Both the hosting and ambassador portions of the
program last for three weeks. After spending that amount of time with a
Kiwi, you're sure to have bonded.
Enjoy
fun adventures. While hosting, you get to show off your gorgeous state of
Washington. When you're an ambassador, you get to see the best of Southland
in New Zealand.
Be part
of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! While there are other exchange
programs, this is one of the only ones in Tacoma for middle school students.
Exchange participants talk about their experiences for years!
